Special Membership Meeting - Proposed Bylaw Amendments

The Yuma Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors has called a Special Meeting of the Membership for the purpose of considering and voting on proposed amendments to the YAR Bylaws. This meeting is being held pursuant to the current YAR Bylaws and is for the stated purpose of hearing a bylaw change request submitted by a member in August of 2025 and reviewed by the 2025 Bylaws Committee to make sure there were no conflicts with NAR policy or state law. The proposed amendments relate to establishing term limits for members of the Board of Directors, Officers of the Board, and Committee Members. The proposal defines maximum terms of service, addresses consecutive term limits, and clarifies how partial terms are counted. The full proposed language has been provided in the official meeting notice to ensure transparency and compliance with the Association’s governing documents. Voting at this meeting is limited to members eligible to vote under the current YAR Bylaws. Member participation is essential when considering changes to governance structure.
